Chemistry PhD Student and Postdoctoral Fellow Win Jacek Lipkowski Award

On August 7th, two University of Guelph chemists were honoured for their research excellence at the third annual ECS Guelph Young Researcher Symposium. The event brought together graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, faculty and research staff to share their work in electrochemistry, materials science and surface science.

Two Chemistry Students Win Poster Awards at the ISE Meeting in Montreal

The 75th Annual Meeting of the International Society of Electrochemistry (ISE) was held at the Palais des Congrès located in downtown Montréal, Canada from August 18th to August 23th this year. Two University of Guelph graduate students in the Department of Chemistry won poster awards.

Five ETC Graduate Students Win Awards at the ISESS at U of G

At the International Symposium on Electrochemistry and Surface Science (ISESS) in Honour of Jacek Lipkowski's 80th Birthday, held from August 14th to August 17th at the University of Guelph, six U of G CEPS students won notable awards.

Graduate Scholarship Recipients: B. Tavana (2024)

Babak Tavana was awarded the Ontario Graduate Scholarship. Congratulations to all recipients who received this award for their outstanding achievements.

Research Group Students received awards from the GWC2 (2024)

Congratulations to J. Quintal and E. Hatami on receiving an award from the Guelph-Waterloo Centre for Graduate Work in Chemistry and Biochemistry (GWC2). J. Quintal has been awarded the David Holden Memorial Scholarship and E. Hatami won the Best PhD Seminar Prize of the GWC2.

In 2023, J. Quintal was awarded the Doctoral Canada Graduate Scholarship and E. Boateng was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Graduate Scholarship. Congratulations to both recipients for their outstanding achievements.

Congratulations to C.-K. Hung and J. van der Zalm on receiving an award from the Guelph-Waterloo Centre for Graduate Work in Chemistry and Biochemistry (GWC2).

E. Boateng Won 2nd Place in Poster Presentation at ECS Spring Symposium (2023)

E. Boateng won 2nd place in the poster presentation at the Spring Symposium of the Canadian Section of The Electrochemical Society (2023). This recognition highlights his outstanding research and presentation skills in the field of electrochemistry.
