Research at the University of Guelph’s Electrochemical Technology Centre Will Help Save Our Planet

The University of Guelph’s Electrochemical Technology Centre (ETC) is working on multiple ways to help the environment. For example, Prof. Aicheng Chen is working on turning graphite into graphene and Prof. Dan Thomas is improving fuel cells for cars to make them more eco-friendly. Moreover, Prof. Khashayar Ghandi is finding ways to capture carbon dioxide and detect harmful bacteria and viruses. Finally, Prof. John Dutcher is helping to make plastic pipes last longer and reduce waste.
