Assistant Professor Leanne Chen from the Chemistry Department won the Assistant Professor Research Excellence Award for her amazing research work.
Since she started in March 2020, she has focused on using renewable electricity for energy storage to reduce fossil fuel use and carbon emissions. She’s published eight papers on her own, got over $465,000 in research funding, and trained 17 students.
