In September 2020, Cody Landry and Khash Ghandi conducted their ISIS beamline experiment from Canada, even though they couldn't be there in person due to COVID-19. They used remote access to control the beamline and gather data, thanks to help from beamline scientist James Lord and the ISIS team.
University of Guelph’s Aicheng Chen and his team have developed a new method called scanning photoelectrochemical microscopy to study how sunlight splits water into hydrogen and oxygen. This technique provides detailed images of the chemical reactions on a surface, which could help improve solar energy storage and hydrogen fuel production.
