With great sadness, we announce the passing of Professor Paul Rowntree. Paul, who served as the Director of the Electrochemical Technology Centre (ETC) from July 2006 to June 2013, will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Prof. Aicheng Chen Developing Unique Coating for PPE to Prevent Spread of COVID-19.

Prof. Aicheng Chen at the University of Guelph is working on a $50,000 project to create ultra-thin, graphene-based coatings for face masks and PPE to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. This innovative coating aims to bind with and disinfect the virus, allowing for the reuse of protective equipment.
